I’ve seen the Christmas special and guess what? I genuinely don’t know what to think (I know, that’s hardly news hahah).

As some of you have already said, there’s nothing that could prevent Thommy from happening now. But at the same time there’s no hint of it, not a real one at least.

I don’t know what Fellowes has in store for us, but if Downton is going to end with series 5 I hope he’s not going to introduce new characters as love interests for both Thomas and Jimmy. Ivy leaving to America sounds suspicious to me. You are not going to make Jimmy fall in love with a new kitchen maid, right, Julian dear? I don’t know, maybe something great could come out of it, I just don’t like the idea. Thommy would be much more interesting because it’s something we have never seen on Downton before  (I’m trying to see it from a lager audience’s point of view, not only as a die-hard shipper).

I’m surely biased no matter how hard I try not to be, but it still seems to me that Fellowes didn’t develop Thomas and Jimmy relationship on purpose in S4. What’s the point of them agreeing to be friends if we see them hardly interacting? Could easily be lame writing, I know. But I still hope it isn’t (that’s the die-hard shipper part of me eheh). Moreover, many people still think Jimmy is kind of ambiguous, even Laura Carmichael noticed some “teasing” about his relationship with Thomas! I was happy to hear that from her because it’s always good to hear you’re not completely crazy and you don’t see things that don’t exist!

Basically, I wanted to see The Look so bad yesterday, that wasn’t too much to ask sigh
